Vehiclepath Announces AT272-LP GPS Asset Tracking Device
GPS tracking unit enables companies to ensure their construction equipment can be recovered if moved or stolen
SAN DIEGO, Calif., May 18, 2009 – Vehiclepath, a San Diego-based leader in Mobile Resource Management (MRM) announces the launch of the AT272-LP GPS asset tracking device. The AT272-LP GPS asset tracking device is designed for mobile assets, like construction equipment, that are likely to remain in the same location for several months.
"The launch of the AT272-LP is another breakthrough product that expands our asset tracking group of products and gives companies another option for tracking their mobile assets," said Mark Wells, President of Vehiclepath. "The recently released AT262 and the new AT272-LP provide construction companies two products to choose from, depending upon their needs."
The AT272-LP is a low power device designed to greatly reduce the draw on an assets’ power system. It includes a backup battery and alerts the customer if it becomes disconnected. The AT262 includes outputs for Starter Disable for customers requiring the need to remotely disable the starter. Both asset tracking units alert a customer if the asset moves outside of a 1 mile radius, facilitating quick recovery.
