Guide to Using Alerts Feature

To make it easier to use and understand the Alerts Feature you can read the following information and/or follow the steps, with screen captures, listed below.

This feature allows you to set alerts to advise you, via email or text to your cell phone, if the vehicle has gone over the maximum speed you have set or if it has entered/exited a specified area. To set the alerts just left click on the Alerts Tab. You can set the Speed Alert for just one or all of the vehicles on your account. To set the Speed Alert for All Vehicles just left click on the drop down arrow next to Speed Alert in the Global Alerts Section and choose the speed limit. To set a Geofence Alert for all vehicles click on Add next to where it says Geofence Alert in the Global Alerts Section, type in the address and set the radius, click Preview to make sure it is set the way you want it and then click save. To set the Alert Recipients for all vehicles click on Add next to Alert Recipients in the Global Section and enter the Name of the recipient and either their email or cell phone number and click Add. To set any of the Alerts for a specific vehicle, just click on the drop down arrow where it says Please Select a Device in the Last 25 Alerts Device Specific Alerts Section and select the unit you would like to set individual alerts for to set them for that device.

Step 1 - Click on the Alerts Tab, then click on the drop down arrow next to Speed Alert and choose the speed you want.

Step 2 - Click on Geofence Alert and enter in the address you want to be the center of the geofence, enter the radius, click preview to make sure the Geofence is the way you want it, if not reenter the information and click preview, once it is correct click save..

Step 3 - Click close. Your Geofence is now set.

Step 4 Click on the Add button next to Alert Recipients, enter in the requested information and click Add..

Step 5 Click on the drop down arrow in the Device Specific Alerts section to choose the vehicle you want to set individual alerts for and use the same steps in this section that you used in the Global Alerts section to set the Alerts.

Additionally, the boxes on the right side of the page show the last 25 alerts. The top is for all alerts and the botton will show the alerts for the vehicle you select in the box to the left.
